Founded in 1993, Virginia-based
Waterside Capital Corporation is
a publicly traded, licensed Small Business Investment
Company (SBIC). We are a specialty finance company
that invests in debt securities including senior
debt and junior debt with warrants.
The primary focus of our investment strategy is
to provide mezzanine capital to the smaller middle-market
companies headquartered primarily in the Mid-Atlantic
market.
Our preferred investment size is $500,000 to $3
million and is generally structured in the form
of mezzanine debt (subordinated or junior) with
attached warrants (for the future purchase of common
equity ownership). Waterside Capital can also participate
in and arrange larger financings.
Prospective clients can expect a rapid response
from Waterside Capital. We will provide you with
a punch list of information needed for underwriting
your deal. Once we have the information in hand,
we can make a funding decision within two weeks.
